Student Leadership Team

Kaleo - Head Student Ambassador

Hello! I am Kaleo and I’ve been at this school since year 7. I chose to stay for A Levels as there is a strong support system which can allow me to achieve better results, as well as specialised teachers in each subject. At A level, I am studying Computer Science, Maths and Business with the hope to go to a university to study a Computer Science course.

I am Head Student Ambassador at Felpham Community College which means that I will represent the school both inside and outside the school environment. I wanted to join the Student Leadership Team as I wanted all voices to be heard, as well as to leave a lasting positive impact on the school. Some examples of what I will do include giving speeches at Open Evenings and representing the school at the Remembrance Parade.

Bella - Head Student i/c Sixth Form

Hello, my name is Bella.

I decided to go to Sixth Form to complete my A levels in a familiar environment and community, to build strong qualifications so I can go to university. My brothers also joined the FCC Sixth Form and had positive experiences, which motivated me to join.

I’m currently studying A-level Biology, Psychology, and Art and I hope to go on to study psychology and education at university.

I joined the Student Leadership Team to help in the school community as I enjoy supporting the school in various events. I am also building new skills such as leadership, communication and teamwork as Head of Sixth Form. This includes organising and helping the school with events and chairing the Sixth Form Student Council to bring forward new ideas and improvements. I will help organise events such as the Sixth Form Summer Ball, open days and many more!

Sophie - Head Student i/c RRSA

Hello! I’m Sophie, and I decided to come to Sixth Form after starting college and finding out it wasn’t for me. I found that I preferred the familiar environment of Felpham and also discovered that the teachers here are able to be more supportive by providing one-to-one meetings and because of how much they get to know you.

I am studying English Language, Psychology, and Sociology – with the aim of completing a psychology degree at university to help me in becoming a psychology teacher.

I joined the Student Leadership Team so that I could give back to the school and help support students on their journeys at Felpham! I am the head student i/c RRSA (Rights Respecting Schools Ambassador's), which means I run workshops teaching students about their rights and use acts of craftivism to encourage creative ways of learning

Rebecca - Head Student i/c Charity

Hello, my name is Rebecca, I chose to stay on for Sixth Form because of the familiar environment and strong support system in and outside of lessons.

I'm currently studying A-level Sociology, Business and History with the hope to go onto an apprenticeship in animal care and welfare.

I joined the Student Leadership Team to encourage more people to participate in charity and build more of a community within the school and help others in the wider community. As Head of Charity, I am responsible for leading the Charity Committee for sixth formers. We lead on events such as Youth Action Week and Christmas Fayre, Non-Uniform Days and the Poppy Appeal. I am also the Leadership Link for our Year 7 students starting in September.  I will help to support them with their transition into secondary school and make them part of the school community.

Charlie - Head Student i/c Youth Action

Hi, I’m Charlie and I study Maths, Further Maths, and Physics. I chose to stay on for Sixth Form because of the excellent teaching as well as the wide range of enrichment opportunities that will help me when I go on and study maths at University.

I joined the Student Leadership Team because I wanted to make a positive impact, represent the views of students, and help strengthen the connection between our school and the wider community. As Head Student in charge of Youth Action, I work closely with Mr Summers and a team of 8 Arun Youth Council representatives from Years 7–10. We meet each half term at the Arun Civic Centre to represent student voice on local and national issues affecting young people. I also coordinate student voting during UK Parliament Week in the Autumn Term, helping to raise awareness of democracy and political engagement among students. My role allows me to make a real difference both within school and in the wider community.

Hattie - Head Student i/c Community Action

Hi, I’m Hattie. I chose Felpham Sixth Form because I really enjoy the community here, and because of the smaller class sizes, allowing more personalised 1-to-1 learning than in a large college.

I study Maths, Further Maths, Computer Science and Physics, and I hope to do a Maths and Computer Science degree at university. In the future, I’d like a career in the fashion industry, preferably doing software development.

I joined the Student Leadership Team because I am passionate about keeping the world we live in safe and helping those around me. As Head Student of Community Action and the Environment, I have started up the Eco Committee, which will involve getting students from across the school to help in initiatives such as gardening and litter picking, as well as educating other students on the importance of looking after nature. I will also be helping organise the Year 7 Christmas Fair, which will raise lots of money for both the school and charity. I will also be supporting our Sixth Form charity committee with outreach projects in the local community
