BTEC in Applied Law

Students have the opportunity to develop an understanding of both public and private law within the law of England and Wales and develop skills which will prepare them for further undergraduate study and future careers. Students will be able to develop their ability to analyse both legal rules and principles and factual issues.

Exams

  • Unit 1: (Year 12) Dispute solving in civil law - external exam January 2020 (retake possible) - 25%

  • Unit 2: (Year 12) Investigating aspects of criminal law and the legal system - coursework 25%

  • Unit 3: (Year 13) Applying the law - external exam January 2021 (retake possible) 33%

  • Unit 4: (Year 13) Aspects of tort - coursework 17%

Entry Requirements

A minimum of five GCSEs at grades 4-9, including maths and grade 5 at GCSE in English language.
